PruneoTerms of use
The terms for using the Pruneo app and this website.

Pruneo
Pruneo is a free macOS app that scans your Mac, sorts out what can be deleted safely and keeps it in quarantine before deleting it. By downloading or using it you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
You decide what to clean
Pruneo shows you what takes up space and what can be cleaned, but you decide what to clean. Check what you select, especially what asks for confirmation and what an AI agent suggests.
Everything you clean goes to quarantine first (48 hours, or the period you choose), where you can restore it. We recommend keeping a backup, for example with Time Machine.
Pruneo is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss or other damage arising from its use.
Contributions
All of Pruneo's features are free. If you want, you can make a one-time contribution, from US$ 5, through Lemon Squeezy, which charges, invoices and handles taxes. With it you become a member and the app updates itself.
The member key is for your personal use. If you need help with a payment or a refund, write to [email protected].
AI agents and MCP
The AI agents you connect belong to third parties (Apple, Ollama, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google), and you use them with your own account and under their terms. They can be wrong: that's why what they suggest is never preselected and always asks for confirmation.
If you connect an agent through MCP, you authorize it to scan your disk and to clean, on your behalf, what Pruneo considers safe, always to quarantine.
Help out
If you turn on Help out, you allow us to use what you send, together with what other people send, to publish rules in Pruneo's catalog, free and for everyone. What is sent and how it is protected is in the privacy policy.
What is not allowed
- Distributing modified versions of Pruneo as if they were official.
- Sending fake or automated contributions to tamper with the catalog.
- Trying to attack, overload or access without permission this website or its services.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date of the latest version is above. If something important changes, we'll say so on this website.
